HISTORY

The foundation of Breuell Ingenieurbüro GmbH is based on a longstanding Hanseatic tradition. Amongst the warehousemen of Hamburg’s Freeport, the Breuell family was known for its trading activities as early as 1888.

After the end of World War II, Mr Egon Breuell founded the sole proprietorship Egon Breuell Ingenieurbüro und technische Vertretungen, which primarily established itself in the electrotechnology and mechanical engineering sectors.

On completing his course of study, Reinhard Breuell actively joined the company in 1976, followed by his brother Manfred Breuell in 1980. In 1981, the brothers founded Breuell Ingenieurbüro Technische Vertretungen GmbH.

Since its foundation, the company has developed various focuses. The agency business ‑ the source of the company’s success ‑ facilitated its subsequent specialisation on occupational health and safety, lighting technology, electrical and safety engineering and the switchgear technology. 

The Breuell and Hilgenfeldt group has been well known since the mid-80s as a provider of eye showers and safety showers in Germany. By consistently expanding its product range in combination with the highest possible quality the business development in this sector led to a rapid success.

B-SAFETY is now one of the leading manufacturers of emergency eyewashes and safety shower equipment in Germany. The company's headquarters, its production facilities and the large central store are located in Hamburg, which guarantees rapid and easy delivery.
